GIJN is an international association of non-profit organizations that produce and support investigative journalism. GIJN holds conferences, conducts trainings, helps and provides consulting for journalists from all around the world. It was founded in 2003, from a gathering of more than 300 investigative journalists. Since then it has grown to more than 138 member organizations in 62 countries.

From the moment KRIK started working we had the support of GIJN, because this network has publicly condemned the attacks of pro-government tabloid Informer on the character and work of KRIK’s editor Stevan Dojčinović.

It is also important to mention that in October last year KRIK’s editor has received Global Shining Light Award, the highest professional recognition bestowed by GIJN. This international prize honors “tenacious investigative journalists, working under perilous conditions in developing countries”.

KRIK is proud of being a member of GIJN and our journalists will continue to work together with colleagues from other media on development of investigative journalism.
